Ashton’s Standards

We picked up our first standard poodle, "Sienna" at the BWI airport on May 31, 2002, almost 17 years ago.  She flew from Bakersfield, California. A beautiful little 7 week old brown standard female and we instantly fell in love with her and with the breed.  She was with us for 15 1/2 short years.  We missed her so much, the house was so lonely after she passed. It was then I decided I needed a new best friend - certainly not to replace her, but to keep me company as I went about my daily schedule.  The last few years of Sienna's life, I was fortunate to be able to work from home and we became very close.  I began my search for just the right little girl and was fortunate to find her in Georgia:-)   With the threat of impending hurricane Irma and possible evaluation, we drove from Pennsylvania to Georgia to pick up our new bundle of love "Bella" at just 6 weeks old.  Unfortunately, or fortunately (whichever way you look at it), I lost my employment a few months later.  So now I was able to spend all my time with Bella and live the dream that I've had of raising puppies.  Bella was 16 months old when hubby decided since this was my dream, he was going to make it possible by buying a male dog for himself and, of course, Bella- hence our 7 week lovable, clown JAC (hubby's initials - he finally got someone named after him) came into our pack.  These two dogs go most places with us.  If we can't take the dogs, most likely we're not going.... We love spoiling them and don't make any excuses for it!  We guarantee any puppy purchased from Ashton's Standards will come pre-spoiled and loved as well.  We look forward to hearing from you and telling you about our dogs and, of course, their babies!
